Knowledgeable and fun Deanna knows her stuff, and she is great at sharing that knowledge with her students. She tailored the lesson to my ability level, goals, and personality. Her friendly demeanor made the lesson fly by, and I look forward to training with her this summer.
My daughter has had a wonderful experience with Deanna learning to play the piano. She started her lessons with no knowledge of how to read music nor how to play, and in a short time she felt very comfortable with sheet music and the instrument. Deanna makes it fun for her but at the same time, is helping her to learn to be disciplined in her study. As a parent, I couldn't be happier with Deanna's skill as a musician and teacher, her reliability, and her patience with our busy family schedules. My daughter has come so far and has learned to love making music!
I've been taking lessons from Deanna for more than two years now, and it's been an absolute adventure. Deanna is a passionate musician and teacher, with an unbelievable history performing everything from classical competitions to rock shows. She teaches all ages, all skill levels, and all interests, while building unique and special relationships with every student. Deanna is an exceptional instructor!
"Deanna has inspired my Junior High aged son to practice longer. He loves going to piano lessons. His playing continues to improve quickly. His fingering is fast, he has learned a lot of music theory, and he’s now writing his own songs." -Nan W.
"Deanna has taught my five year old piano for over a year. Her lessons are developmentally appropriate, fun, and full of incentive and laughs. If you're seeking a creative, patient, experienced, professional, rock star (literally!) and local music teacher for you child and/or yourself, consider Deanna." -Derek B.
I've only had one lesson so far, but I can tell Deanna is a great tutor. Very experienced and active in the music scene. She focused on what I wanted to learn and how we can get there and was very patient, as my formal music education is seriously lacking. I'm very excited to continue my lessons with her.
